• In compliance with the Order of the Govt. of West Bengal, 80% of the total seats in each subject will be reserved for the students of the VIDYASAGAR UNIVERSITY & AUTONOMOUS COLLEGE(S) AFFILIATED TO THE VU (Category I) and 20% of seats will be for OTHER UNIVERSITIES (Category II).

 

• Students who passed from the V.U. may apply only for CATEGORY - I .

• CATEGORY I : HOME UNIVERSITY (V.U.) SEATS (80%) – Selection to be made on the basis of marks obtained in the Honours & Pass/ Generic Subjects as a whole.

 

• CATEGORY II : OTHER UNIVERSITY, SEATS (20%) – Selection to be made on the basis of marks obtained in the Honours & Pass / Generic Subjects as a whole.

 

• The quota for SC/ ST/ OBC(A&B)/ PWD/ EWS will be considered as per the Order of the Govt. of West Bengal from time to time. The number of seats will be calculated and considered separately for 80% of seats of Category I and 20% of seats of Category II. A fraction of 0.5 or more will be rounded to the next whole number.

 

• 5% of the total seats in each category (GEN/SC/ST/OBC(A&B)/EWS) will be reserved for Persons With Disability (PWD). The percentage of disability will be considered (at least 50%) in preparing the Merit list.

 

• Consideration for the EWS category (10% of UR), the student has to submit a valid certificate from the Competent Authority as per the Order of the Govt. of WB.

 

• The admission will be cancelled, if a student remains absent from classes for consecutive One week without any prior intimation from the date of commencement of classes to the Authority and the admission fees paid will not be refunded.

 

• If any candidate takes admission to another institution without intimation to the College within Seven days from the date of admission, the admission fees paid will not be refunded.

 

• If a student applies to the College Authority for cancellation of his/her admission within Seven days from the date of Admission, ten percent (10%) of the total admission fees will be deducted as a processing fee and the rest will be refunded to the candidate after submitting written application to the authority with Bank Account details for ECS.
